Life, Love, and Laser Way: Our Family Just Got Bigger

Hi friends, Stacy here. My husband, Adam, and I own Laser Way, your trusted Houston-based printer and copier specialists. We are thrilled to share some big news that has brought even more joy (and a little chaos) into our lives.

Our little one, Zak, has just turned 10 months old!

Houston Roots, Family-Run Heart

We were both born and raised in Texas, and we proudly call Houston home. Family means everything to us. Laser Way began from humble beginnings when my father, Coast Guard veteran Mike Sorich, founded the shop in 1997. Over the years, it has grown into a tight-knit team of four, all committed to serving our community. We carry that tradition forward with the same reliability, integrity, and genuine care.

Balancing Business and Baby

Running a business is a full-time job, and so is raising a 10-month-old. Our days are definitely busier now, but they are filled with more love than we ever imagined. Here’s a peek into our life right now.

In the early mornings, we start the day with feedings, diaper changes, and plenty of baby giggles. It’s the sweetest way to begin the day. Adam heads to Laser Way to oversee service calls while I manage supplies, shipments, and check in with our clients.

During the day, nap time is our golden hour. While Zak rests, we catch up on paperwork or troubleshoot the occasional printer hiccup. In the evenings, we put work aside to spend time together as a family. Dinner, bath time, bedtime stories, and lullabies have become our favorite way to end the day.

It’s a balancing act, but one we truly cherish. Seeing our baby’s smile makes every late night, every contract signed, and every copier calibrated completely worth it.

A Few Lessons We’ve Learned

We’ve learned to plan for flexibility because babies (and printers) have a way of surprising you. Having backup plans and remote support tools makes all the difference.

We’ve also learned to automate what we can. From toner delivery to routine maintenance, automation lightens the mental load so we can focus on family and customer care.

Most importantly, we’ve learned to lean on our village. Our team, clients, and friends have been there for us in so many ways. We are endlessly grateful.

Embracing Change

As we navigate this new chapter, we realize that change is constant. Just like our little Zak, our business is growing, adapting, and evolving. We’re excited to explore new opportunities and challenges ahead.
